I came into Spanish class speaking absolutely no Spanish (except maybe the words for hello and goodbye). The classes quickly became a highlight of my week; they were so fun and informative, not just about the language but also about cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. Everyone in the class was in the same boat, so I felt comfortable making mistakes and asking lots of questions. By the end of two terms of classes, I had gone from zero Spanish to feeling confident enough to have a basic conversation.
