June is widely known around the world as Pride Month, dating back to the Stonewall riots in June 1969. The first Pride rally in the UK was held in London on 1st July 1972 with approximately 2000 participants.
Durham Pride UK founded in 2014, has grown over the years and in 2019 welcomed an incredible 25,000 people! Following the isolation of COVID-19 Durham Pride will be back Saturday 31st July.
