Dr Fiona Hill
We are delighted to welcome Dr Fiona Hill, the new Chancellor of Durham University, as speaker for this event.
Installed as Chancellor in June last year, Dr Hill grew up in Bishop Auckland, near Durham. She is a strong advocate of social mobility and opportunity through education and has undertaken significant research on what it takes to bring social cohesion to deindustrialised regions. A former National Security Adviser to three former Presidents, her expertise lies in Russia and Europe.
The conversation with Fiona will be followed by a drinks reception and the opportunity to network with fellow alumni as well as senior staff, including Vice-Chancellor and Warden Professor Karen O'Brien and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Global Professor Claire O'Malley.
