We’re proud to announce that we have been ranked in the UK Top Ten by the Financial Times. Their European Business School Ranking 2023 lists the best business schools in Europe based on the combined performance of programme-specific FT rankings. Our School ranked 10th in the UK and 57th overall in Europe – an improved positioning from 66th in last year’s ranking.
Durham’s position was determined by the 2023 Financial Times rankings for MBA programmes and MSc Management programmes. The Durham MBA (Full-Time) ranked 23rd in Europe (8th in the UK, 78th in the world) and the Masters in Management was ranked =62nd in Europe (=5th in the UK, =78th in the world). In the section of the MBA ranking which analyses the value for money that students see, the Durham MBA was placed 1st in the UK and 12th globally. Alumni from the programme secured an average salary of $117,289 three years after graduating, and see an average salary increase of 92%.

This is the 20th annual ranking of European business schools for the Financial Times. Key indicators in the methodology of this ranking include a business school’s European rank in other Financial Times rankings in 2023, in which the average alumni salary three years after graduating and the average alumni salary increase between pre-MBA and three years after graduation are both considered.
This ranking follows a number of other strong performances for us this year, including; 2nd in the UK and 10th in the world for sustainability-focus on our Full-time MBA by the Corporate Knights Better World Ranking 2023, and 8th globally by Financial Times for our Online MBA programme.
