Nalan Gulpinar is currently a Professor of Operations Research and Business Analytics at Durham University Business School. Previously, she was an Associate Professor in Operations Group at Warwick Business School, The University of Warwick. She received BSc and MSc degrees in Mathematics and a PhD degree in Operational Research from Brunel University. Before joining Warwick Business School, she was first a research fellow, then a research lecturer in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London. Her research interests are decision making under uncertainty and business analytics. The main focus has been data-driven decision-making and risk management with applications to supply chain networks, finance, revenue management and dynamic pricing, and healthcare systems. Her research is published in high-ranking journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, Production and Operations Management, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, OR Spectrum, and Computers and OR.
