Biography
Stefanie is a PhD Candidate at Durham University Business School. Her work concerns human-algorithm interactions in healthcare and, therefore, places itself in the field of information systems. She joined the University in the fall of 2021 and will prospectively graduate in summer 2025.
Stefanie previously studied at Maastricht University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Economics with a major in Finance. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she continued to study Business Administration with the Major of Digital Business at the University of Amsterdam for her Master’s degree. Her Master’s thesis, which concerned autonomous software solutions for breast-cancer detection, laid the groundwork for her first publication the following year at the Thirtieth European Conference on Information Systems.
In the frame of her thesis, Stefanie investigates the drivers of medical algorithmic solutions adoption from the perspective of various stakeholders. She is being supervised by Prof. Christos Tsinopoulos and Dr. Spyros Angelopoulos.
Mini-Biography
Stefanie is a PhD Candidate at Durham University. She is currently writing her thesis on human-algorithm interactions in healthcare. In the frame of her research, she aims to unveil the challenges along the way to fully adopted medical algorithmic solutions and provide remedies.
