Welcome

The Centre for Behaviour, Markets, and Policy (BeMAP) advances rigorous economic, applied, and behavioural research to map how individual behaviour, organisational decision-making, and market dynamics translate into effective public policy. Using experimental, empirical, and field-based methods, the Centre generates high-quality evidence that connects observed behaviour and market outcomes to policy design, implementation, and evaluation.

We work collaboratively with policymakers, practitioners, and communities to ensure that research insights are directly relevant, actionable, and grounded in real-world challenges. Through strong interdisciplinary partnerships within Durham University and with international collaborators, the Centre aims to be a leading hub for policy-relevant research that supports inclusive, sustainable, and equitable economic outcomes by systematically mapping evidence into policy insight.
