College Facilities

Alongside the University facilities Grey College has a great set of its own:

  • Four accommodation blocks
  • A dining hall for normal and formal meals
  • A large college lawn
  • College tennis court
  • Toastie bar and college shop
  • Junior Common Room – with TV, Pool and Table Tennis
  • TV Room
  • Middle Common Room
  • Senior Common Room
  • College Library and Study Area – the Victor Watts Library

 

Grey Bar, The Greyhound

The bar is the main social hub of the College, particularly after formal dinners or during JCR events. It is staffed by students and is a good place to meet with friends or enjoy a night out. Every year it runs  Barfest, celebrating bar culture worldwide, with great entertainment. The bar has a projector and is a great place to watch those exciting sports matches.

 

Fountains Hall

This recently refurbished and enlarged purpose-built Hall, hold our multi-purpose space (think circuits, badminton or rehearsals), the Lattin Chapel, music practice rooms and an Arts Studio. The Chapel is adorned by batik works of former Grey College Fellow, Thetis Blacker.

 

Grey Gym

The gym is spread over three rooms and has recently been refurnished. It is run by the JCR and membership prices are very reasonable either termly or yearly.
