Our Flats

We have 348 bedrooms within our flat accommodation. All accommodation within our flats is ensuite. There are between 4-8 ensuite bedrooms per flat.

Our flats are named Bridle, Carnaby, Hopkins, Lexington, Marshall and Wardour .

Our Townhouses

We have 144 bedrooms within our townhouses. There are 12 bedrooms per townhouse. Each townhouse has 6 bathrooms (1 bathroom is shared between 2 students).

Our townhouses are known as 'Broadwick'.

Ernest Place

Ernest Place is only a short distance from the city’s vibrant centre and the university. Boasting 362 rooms in total, with sophisticated style and sleek social areas.

Ernest Place is located in Gilesgate a short distance away from campus. Next to Durham's main Retail Park you will be a stones throw from Starbucks, Tesco Extra, Home Bargains, Aldi and more. If you are allocated up at Ernest Place you may be the envy of your friends as it's facilities are luxurious. It boasts a cinema, sauna, bar and roof terrace. We have an active and vibrant community at Ernest Place and college will provide transport during important events such as Fresher's Week.
