Catering
The catering team provides fresh, nutritious, and diverse menus for daily meals and formal dinners, supporting both wellbeing and sustainability. Fully-catered students receive three self-service meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, served seven days a week in the Ann Dobson Dining Hall during term time. Pack lunches and late meals are also available and can be pre-ordered at the servery, providing added flexibility for students with varying schedules.
Meals are prepared using mainly unprocessed ingredients and are designed in line with the Food Standards Agency’s ‘Eat Well Guide’, offering variety, balance, and healthy choices. Menus include vegetarian, vegan, fish and meat options, promoting physical and mental wellbeing through ingredients like whole grains, lentils, oily fish, and at least five portions of fruit and vegetables daily.
We are committed to sustainability, with locally sourced free-range eggs, a long-standing Marine Stewardship Council accreditation, and our innovative carbon-rated menu initiative, which highlights the environmental impact of each meal.
The Catering Team recognises the important role of food in supporting a healthy lifestyle and is proud to offer meals that help our community make informed, nutritious, and sustainable choices.
