Durham University and Team Durham are proud to announce the success of our existing students, as well as our alumni, representing their respective countries at Birmingham 2022 this year. Team England will compete against the 72 nations and territories of the Commonwealth across 19 different sports; the biggest multi-sport event to be staged in the UK for a decade will showcase 11 days of competition with 286 sessions of sport.

Born and raised in Durham, Jamie Adamson was first called into the England Sevens set-up in 2019 – playing in Lodz, Poland. Jamie later impressed England to earn himself a full-time contract two years later, after having to turn to invitational tournaments while studying at Durham University. Adamson is in the midst of preparation for his first-ever Commonwealth Games this summer.
