ONE Sports Warehouse is the proud new sponsor of Durham University Hockey Club

The sponsorship began in style earlier this season when the new club shirts were unveiled to all teams playing in the England Hockey and BUCS leagues where the North East family run company logo is proudly displayed on the front.

Durham University Hockey Club is one of the highest achieving hockey programmes in the UK, boasting 5 men's and 6 women's teams. They were recognised as the Number 1 University Hockey programme in 2018 and 2020 and consistently support the development of international athletes such as Olympians Jack Waller, Ollie Payne and current student and Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Fiona Crackles as well as Tess Howard, who just missed out on selection due to injury.

With some exciting plans in place for the next three years, the sponsorship deal looks as if it will only gain momentum, benefitting both the hockey club and its members as well as ONE Sports Warehouse throughout the partnership.

Head Hockey Coach, Gareth Weaver-Tyler said, "ONE Sports Warehouse has been a supporter of DUHC for several years and I am delighted that we have been able to formalise the relationship in OSW becoming the title sponsor for DUHC. As a club, we pride ourselves on creating a family atmosphere and to be able to partner with a local family run specialist hockey shop is an ideal pairing. ONE Sports Warehouse is a family run business founded from the coaching brand ONE Hockey and they have a physical store in County Durham alongside their online store.
