The book A Taste of Barcelona: A History of Catalan Cooking and Eating (Rowman and Littlefield 2019) was presented at the iconic Barcelona fresh food market La Boqueria on June 29, 2021.
The book presentation was followed by a round-table discussion with chefs Oriol Castro (from Michelin starred restaurant Disfrutar), Ada Parellada (from a local favorite, Semproniana) and Quim Márquez (from the well-known Boqueria eatery El Quim de la Boqueria) to talk about the experience of the pandemic and the future of restaurants as the city is starting to welcome the return of tourists to Barcelona.
