Molecules and Health

The Molecules and Health group brings together world-class experts in the fundamental biology of living organisms. We use and develop experimental and computational approaches to understand biological processes across all scales of biological organisation, from individual molecules, cells and tissues to whole organisms and ecosystems. Our research addresses important global challenges in human, animal, and environmental health. These include the spread of antimicrobial resistance, the health challenges of an ageing population, and the impacts of climate change. Strong links with a range of partners, including in academic institutions around the world as well as the clinical, biomedical, and industrial sectors, ensure that our research creates real-world impacts.
