TEIs undertake a single process for reviewing, reflecting and reporting on their provision which covers both the requirements for Durham and the Ministry Development Team. This process is undertaken annually and is known as ‘Annual Self Evaluation’ or ‘ASE’.
TEIs undertake a single process for reflecting holistically on its provision which covers both the quality assurance requirements for Durham and the Ministry Development Team. This process is undertaken approximately every 6 years and is known as ‘Periodic External Review’ or ‘PER’. The review is carried out by a joint review team made up of Durham University reviewers and Ministry Development Team appointed reviewers.
TEIs are required to inform the Common Awards Team of any forthcoming inspections or reviews, or reports by professional bodies or other organisations, which include consideration of the Programmes, or any part of them, validated by the University.
If your TEI is expecting an inspection or review, or report from a professional body or other organisation (including the Quality Assurance Agency or Office for Students), please contact the Common Awards Team as soon as possible.
