Durham University and Historic Royal Palaces are pleased to announce the availability of a fully funded Collaborative doctoral studentship from October 2022 under the AHRC’s Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Scheme.

The award was granted to Dr Coreen McGuire for a five-year project entitled ‘When Categories Constrain Care: Investigating Social Categories in Health Norms through Disability History 1909-1958’

This funding will enable the lead researcher, Dr Helen Foxhall Forbes, to coordinate a team to conduct ground-breaking research on how people responded to environmental and climatic change during the medieval period.
