Learning and Teaching team office hour
If you are not sure who you should contact or what type of support you may need, then it may be a good idea to drop into the Learning and Teaching Team’s online office hours which are held every Monday and Wednesday from 3pm to 4pm on Zoom. The office hour is run with a virtual waiting room function, meaning there is only one student in the room at a time. This allows students to have one-to-one discussions with a Learning and Teaching Administrator.
Join the L&T office hour (only available Mondays and Wednesday, 3pm-4pm)

Coursework extensions
Occasionally, significant events outside of your control may affect your ability to meet an essay deadline. You can submit an extension request through our extension request app, or email history.studentsupport@durham.ac.uk if this is not possible. Requests should be submitted by 12 noon on the day prior to the submission deadline date, or earlier if your deadline is on a Monday. Requests are not monitored at weekends.
For more information on extensions, see the Undergraduate Student SharePoint.
Academic advisors
Alongside your regular contact hours with specific module or seminar/module leaders, you are allocated an academic advisor each year within the History Department. The role of the Academic Advisor is to provide academic support, advice and guidance to enable you to gain the most from your studies in the History Department.
