In recent years, the debate about sightings or even contact with UAP, previously called UFOs, has reignited in an unexpected and drastic manner.
In the USA, Congress has heard evidence behind closed doors that led to the creation of authorities dedicated to the study of the phenomenon. Even NASA is incorporating them in its general research and mission parameters. Traditional SETI research is looking for bio- or technosignatures in star systems far away from Earth.
Are we dealing with extraterrestrial, interdimensional, or intertemporal visitors - or simply with unknown and unexplained natural phenomena, or possibly secret human technology? Is there anyone out there? What would be the consequences of finding alien artefacts or making contact with an alien species? How reliable and coordinated is the current state of research in the field of SETI and UAP studies?
This symposium brings together experts from China, France, Germany, Sweden, the UK, and the USA to discuss these matters from an interdisciplinary perspective.
The symposium will take place in hybrid form. Attendance is free.
Information on how to register for in-person and remote attendance will be available here in due course. Seats for in-person attendance are limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
