New Gen Scholars Certificates

On Wednesday, 18 February we welcomed colleagues from Clyde & Co to support our first year first generation students.

Hannah Kirrane (Early Careers Recruitment Manager), Sam Tate (Global Head of Regulatory and Investigations Crime at Clyde and DLS alumnus), and Noah Friend (Associate in the White Collar Crime & Sanctions team at Clyde and DU alumnus) presented students who were most in need, with text book vouchers to support them through their three years of study.

This was then followed by a 'lunch and learn' in the Common Room, where students were able to ask questions to Sam, and Noah on the working life at Clyde. We then launched our newly established First Generation Network, headed up by Lana Ashby, Associate Professor and Director of Admissions (Access and Outreach). The Network voted on a motto, 'Breaking Barriers. Building Futures' and named the network 'F.O.R.G.E. - First-Gen Opportunity for Representation, Growth, & Excellence'.

It was a fantastic day for first-gen students to engage with the firm and huge thanks to Hannah, Sam and Noah for taking the time out of their busy schedules to visit and support this important initiative.
