Funding

Each year the Department has a number of funded PhD positions available. To apply for these you should follow the application procedure outlined here. Under funding source select ‘PGR – Research Council Studentships’ to indicate you wish to be considered for all available PhD studentships.

We also support students applying for external funding and financial support for both Postgraduate Taught and Research Degrees. For Research Degrees please contact a member of the Department or maths.postgraduate@durham.ac.uk first.
