Level 2 labs are about expanding on skills learnt in Discovery Skills with an emphasis on data analysis. Through longer, more open-ended experiments, you will learn skills such as:

• Planning activities over multiple sessions and recording what you did.
• Use of common electronics and signal manipulation.
• Automating data collection.
• Using cryogens safely.
• Further numerical techniques and modelling in Python.
• Presenting your work in a variety of ways.

You will also undertake a longer Research-led investigation on one topic to bring all these skills together.

This module is assessed through a combination of lab reports, presentations, practical assessments and computing problems.
