Durham University has a large and diverse international community. We have students from over 100 different countries. There are approximately 2000 international students studying here, including almost 1000 at undergraduate level.

The University's International Office not only provides you with all the information and advice you need to make your application, we have a dedicated team to support you during your time at the University. There's also an International Students' Association that organises social events - it's a great way to make new friends.

Here at the Physics Department of Durham University, we are eager to welcome new international students. If you were to consider joining, we would be thrilled to have you contribute to our community, and these webpages are here in the hope that you will find them useful to gain information.

By enrolling at the Physics Department at Durham - the third eldest university in England- the amount of possibilities to further your education are endless, as we offer various undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research degrees. Durham has a collegiate structure, meaning that as you progress throughout your studies, you will remain a member of a college, therefore gaining the opportunity to create ties between you and your peers that will last for life. Furthermore, you will be able to get a sense of what it is like to be a student in England.

In the case that the information on these webpages is unable to answer some of your queries, then do not hesitate to contact Dr Baojiu Li or Dr Fernando Dias
