Stephen Evans had a full career in the U.K. Diplomatic Service culminating in successive appointments as High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Ambassador to Afghanistan and High Commissioner to Bangladeshi. He then transferred to NATO, serving for four years as Assistant Secretary General for Operations. He was appointed Professor in Practice in 2025 and brings to the role his experience of international affairs, global security issues and crisis management.
