SGIA is a large, vibrant department. It offers teaching that covers the full range of this tremendously diverse discipline including comparative politics, international relations and political theory incorporating quantitative, qualitative, and normative approaches.
A core aspect of our commitment to issues of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is our important EDI committee, a main focus of which is our work with the Athena Swan initiative. We have more information on our EDI pages and you can hear more from our EDI chair, Dr Beth Kahn.
SGIA also has an active First-Generation Scholars group, as part of our deep commitment to widening participation in higher education.
