As well as being a lively intellectual community, the Department provides social opportunities, including staff and students. These opportunities include the following:
- The Theology Society, run by students, organizes social events across the year, including an annual ball, attended by staff and students.
- The Café des Théologiennes organizes social and academic events for women students and staff.
- During term-time there are weekly staff-student coffee mornings.
