Applying for a foundation year programme is similar to applying for other undergraduate programmes, but has some key differences. Please follow our advice below to ensure you give yourself the greatest chance of success.
Admission staff will assess your application and then may reject your application or invite you for mandatory assessment(s) and/or interview from December. Following assessment(s) and/or interview, and providing you successfully engage with the admission process, an offer may be made. If an offer is made, it can be made unconditional or conditional, depending upon your circumstances.
Please be aware: that Foundation Programme places are in high demand (we usually receive 10 applications for each place we can offer) and all eligible on-time applications will be considered in open competition to identify those judged to have the greatest potential to give and receive benefit from a Durham University degree course; and that Foundation Programme does not accept deferred applications.
