Our pre-sessional courses are designed to help students develop the academic language and literacy skills they will need to succeed in their academic department. The courses are open to students who hold an offer for a Durham University degree programme. Applicants may have narrowly missed their language condition or want to become familiar with life at Durham University.
The pre-sessional courses are offered at undergraduate (UG), and postgraduate (PG) level. The courses are 20, 10 or 6 weeks long, and the length of course you will be offered to take depends on your current language score and your department’s language requirements.
