Library Book Giveaway: Black History Month
Throughout Black History Month, we will be running a book giveaway in Bill Bryson Library.
New copies of selected titles will be wrapped and hidden in the Library for students and staff to find. If you do find one, it’s yours to keep or pass on! Don’t forget to tag us on Facebook, X (previously known as Twitter) or Instagram to share what you find! #DULibBookGiveaway
The titles included in our book giveaway are:
- Natives: Race and Class in the Ruins of Empire by Akala
- The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta
- Black and British: a short, essential history by David Olusoga
- Red Dust Road: An Autobiographical Journey by Jackie Kay
These titles have been chosen from recommendations made by staff and students from across the University. If you don’t find a copy in our giveaway, don’t worry - each title will also be made available to borrow from Bill Bryson Library.
All the titles recommended to us for this campaign have been added to our collections - to view these titles, see our EDI Book Giveaway reading list.
