#HaikumyResearch
In early 2021 we laid down the challenge:
Can you write down the most important part of your research as a haiku?
We wanted to make people think about the main message of their work, to capture the essence of their research in this unique poetry form.
We were blown away by the response. The entries were were judged by the wonderful panel: poet Dr Katharine Goda, Professor of Natural Philosophy Tom McLeish FRS (University of York) and Professor Masao Imaseki (Durham University).
The winning haikus covered topics from astrophysics to personal growth through the PhD journey, and can be read in full below.
