THE EDITH STEIN POSTGRADUATE BURSARY FUND

(one-year award, renewable)

In association with the Carmelite Nuns (https://carmelitenuns.uk) donated funds up to a total of £7,500 may be awarded on a competitive basis to full-time or part-time postgraduate candidates (both existing students and new candidates in receipt of formal offers) in Catholic Theology / Catholic Studies within the Department of Theology and Religion.

Applications are invited from students on programmes in Durham who are able to share regularly in-person in the academic programme of the CCS, and from students on the Distance Learning Programmes in Catholic Theology.

These funds may be awarded as full or partial support towards tuition fees. 

Alongside academic excellence and potential, consideration will also be given to personal financial need.
