Given the complexities of the rapidly changing world, there is a growing need and urgency to deepen the understanding of the nature, dynamics, manifestations, challenges and consequences of the modern transformation of societies across national and cultural boundaries.
The Centre aims at fostering new scholarship and facilitating research initiatives and collaboration. As a joint initiative with the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Zhejiang University, China, the Centre brings extra expertise, research and perspectives from leading academics from China.
The Centre is keen to collaborate with prospective graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are looking to develop projects in Durham.
