Social value is about more than financial outcomes—it is about understanding the real impact of decisions on people’s lives. It challenges organisations to look beyond profit, prioritising sustainable, positive change that benefits individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
This workshop, hosted by Durham Energy Institute, offers you the opportunity to contribute directly to the Institute’s future research agenda and influence how social value is embedded into teaching across Durham University. Through engaging discussions and collaborative exercises, you will help define how the University can address social value in its energy-related research, policy influence, and educational programmes.
