Welcome to the Learning and Memory Processes Centre (LAMP)

We are a community of researchers united by a shared interest in learning, memory, and related processes. As the largest hub for neuroscience research in Northern Britain, our work spans multiple levels of investigation — from molecular and cellular mechanisms to systems, behavioural, and cognitive neuroscience.

We also engage closely with related fields such as mental health, artificial intelligence- and anthropology. We host regular seminars, including online events, and run an informal seminar series (‘Neuroclub’) where researchers at all career stages — particularly early career researchers — are encouraged to present their work, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration.
