Announcing the recipient of the Durham-CSC PhD scholarship

Based in the Department of Philosophy, Liyuan will be joining the Centre for Philosophy of Epidemiology, Medicine, and Public Health (recently established in the IMH) and working closely with the DRP Measurement Lab. Her project concerns causal inference, which is a focal concern in various disciplines, notably epidemiology. Liyuan will be considering how different approaches to causal inference are related and what their ontological underpinnings are. These issues are at the heart of the way that health sciences allow or disallow, and reveal or conceal, the causes and components of health.
