The Institute for Medical Humanities is seeking to appoint two new Co-Directors from 1 September 2026.
These 0.2 FTE posts are tenured for a period of three years.
IMH is widely recognised as a world-leading centre for medical humanities research. We have an ambitious strategy over the next ten years for continuing to develop the global reach and impact of our work, recognising the importance of a creative, engaged, and intellectually nourishing research culture to that endeavour. Working closely with the Director and fellow Co-Directors, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the Institute, as outlined more fully in the job description.
Applications are open until 16 March 2026. Please note that confirmation is required at the time of writing from your Head of Department that the 0.2 FTE time commitment will be acknowledged in your workload.
If you would like to find out more, please feel free to contact Angela Woods (Director), Katrin Wehling-Giorgi (Co-Director) or Evelyn Tehrani (Senior Research and Engagement Manager), or join us for an informal conversation at fika (Wednesday mornings 930-1030 at the IMH).
