Following on from the successful work of Dr Christy Slobogin, the Northern Network for Medical Humanities (NNMHR) and Institute for Medical Humanities (IMH) welcomes Dr James Rákóczi to the role of Early-Career Researcher (ECR) Development Lead. IMH thanks Christy for all her efforts and wishes James the best of luck in this new endeavour.
Dr James Rákóczi received his PhD in English Literature and Medical Humanities from King's College London in December 2020. James joined IMH as a Visiting Fellow in January 2022 and currently serves as a Research Assistant in the Critical Medical Humanities working closely alongside Evelyn Tehrani (Senior Manager) and Mary Robson (Creative Facilitator), as well as Dr Victoria Patton (Hearing the Voice Communications, Impact and Engagement Lead), developing a series of briefings about IMH work and approaches.
Building on the work of his predecessor, Dr Christy Slobogin, James will assume the role of the NNMHR’s ECR Development Lead from July 2022. In this capacity, James will be responsible for designing professional networking events for ECRs within the NNMHR group.
Dr James Rákóczi said:
“Christy Slobogin was instrumental in administering and assessing the new networks application. Despite her brief tenure, she brought many ideas to the role and was generous in sharing these during handover meetings. I would like to thank Christy for this and underscore my ambition to put these ideas into action during my tenure.”
IMH extend their warmest thanks to Christy for her work and wish James the best of luck in his new role!
