A warm welcome to Arya Ray, who joins the Discovery Research Platform as our Events & Fellows Coordinator.
Arya Ray is a creative writer and researcher, having graduated with an MA in English Literary Studies from Durham University in 2023 and a BA (Hons) English from the University of Delhi in 2022. His interests lie in the fields of gothic studies, with a special affinity for South Asian literature and culture. He is currently working on the intersections between gothic and subaltern studies.
Arya has been extensively involved with the arts - he is a founding member of Shapno Ekhon, a theatre and heritage education platform where he has performed and directed in plays, as well as coordinated projects such as Neighborhood Diaries. He has previously worked at IMH as an Administrative Assistant.
In his spare time, he enjoys singing Hindustani classical music and watching strictly average horror movies.
