Launch of the Routledge Handbook of Spirituality, Religion, and the Medical Humanities, which includes a chapter on moral injury
This new volume forges connections between the fields of medical and health humanities on the one hand and religious studies and theological studies on the other, firmly establishing a needed bridge and a valuable resource on how mental and physical health relates to the human drive for meaning. It includes a chapter by Brian Powers on moral injury and the importance of Christian theologies of guilt, forgiveness and hope in preventing negative outcomes.
