Durham Research Methods Centre are pleased to be able to announce the winners of the first Picturing Research Competition 2023!!

We are part of a ground-breaking £4.17m Digital Health Hub for the North East and Cumbria, in collaboration with five universities and seven NHS trusts.

We would like to share our most recent bulletin. In this Issue we will introduce our newest DRMC Co-Director, Jonathan Wistow; look back at the last couple of terms and some of the fantastic visiting scholars we have hosted and look ahead to those we hope to see in 2023-24. We will give updates on the Picturing Research Competition, the Christine Merrell Annual Methods Lecture 2022-23 and much more!

The Durham Research Methods Centre (DRMC) has launched its first Picturing Research competition this year. We are proud to announce that we have received a good number of applications for our first edition.

DRMC's annual methods lecture, in honour and memory of Professor Christine Merrell will take place on Thursday 4th May 2023 at 3pm. The lecture is titled 'Complexity Perspectives on Causality & Evidence' by Dr Lasse Gerrits.

The Durham Research Methods Centre (DRMC) invites research staff and postgraduate (PGT and PGR) researchers to submit a pictorial representation of their research to the Picturing Research competition.

We would like to share our most recent Bulletin. In this issue, we have introduced our new Co-Director for the MARM, Dr Cristina Costa, as well as launching our new Workshop Funding Competition, issuing a call for DRMC Student Fellow applications, and offering reflections from our summer internship student.

In jointly funded work by the Research Methods Centre and the Institute for Data Science, Catherine Marley, the DRMC funded PhD student, and supervisors have produced this paper.
