The European Commission and Europa Nostra have announced the 2022 winners of the European Heritage Awards, also known as Europa Nostra Awards, funded by the European Union's Creative Europe programme. The Silknow project, developed by entities from Spain (such as the Cervantes Institute), Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia, and Poland, has received the award in the Research category. The European Heritage Awards ceremony will be one of the highlights of the European Cultural Heritage Summit 2022, to be held from 25 to 27 September in Prague. The event will be attended by European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel, and Europa Nostra's Executive President, Hermann Parzinger. In 2020 the Zurbarán Centre hosted three Silknow-lectures with the Instituto Cervantes Manchester, which are available here.
