Research interests

  • My research explores the ecology of intraspecies variation in wild predators and prey, particularly how animal personality traits can be used to inform wildlife conservation. I am currently exploring these questions using automated audio playback devices in the Soutpansberg (South Africa). I am also continuing my previous work concerning habituation and human tolerance of wild baboons in the Soutpansberg, while also conducting research on mountain lions in Santa Cruz (California), coyote in Illinois, and Eurasian lynx in Europe.
