Biography

I am a PhD student investigating cilia-driven fluid transport and the influence of nanoparticle interactions within mucociliary systems, particularly based on Xenopus models. My work involves high-speed imaging, particle tracking and computational modelling to understand how the physical dynamics of cilia influence pathogen clearance and targeted drug delivery. I previously completed an MEng in Medical Engineering at the University of York, where my MEng project focused on the mechanical behaviour of functionally graded 3D-printed lattice structures for tailoring patient-specific biomedical implants.
