Postgraduate Research Student in the Department of Sociology |
Biography
I’m a second year part-time Postgraduate researcher in the Sociology department. I have worked in public service for 22 years and completed several academic qualifications including a science Honours degree and an MA in International Relations.
Since 2017, I’ve been a member of the Experts-by Experience group at Surviving Economic Abuse, the only UK national organisation working exclusively to end economic abuse. As part of the expert by experience group, I have made contributions to several policy advocacy campaigns which has driven real-world changes for victim-survivors. As a victim-survivor of domestic abuse and post-separation abuse, I am passionate about supporting the work CRiVA does and contributing to that research.
