Biography
I am a first year PhD student working within the Centre for Neurodiversity and Development in collaboration with the Williams Syndrome Foundation
My project surrounds the activities, experiences, and vulnerabilities of adolescents and young adults with Williams syndrome who use the internet. The goal of this project is to develop guidance for parents and carers of this group to allow them to use the internet safely.
I am interested in working with the community that I am studying, and recognise the importance of public engagement in research to ensure that a wider audience is being reached. In order to do this I run an instagram account (@williams_syndrome_online) which shares both recruitment materials and results related to my work.
My PhD is supervised by Prof Debbie Riby and Dr Amy Pearson, and is funded by a NINE DTP 1+3.5 studentship
