Biography
Khaled is a PhD student, funded by the University of Taif in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Khaled has an MSc in ‘Sport Education’ from Ashland University (USA) and a BSc in ‘Physical education and sport activities’ from Taif University (KSA).
Research
Khaled's research is in the joint context of the Saudi Vision 2030 “Offering all our students the right equal participation in sports activities in and outside schools” and the Convention on the Rights of the Child with a Disability (CRCD)“Right to life survival and development”. This research focuses on physical activity promoting strategies among disabled children attending mixed schools in Taif-City (KSA).
Of great interest in this research is the validation of strategies options through the use of qualitative data produced in focus group discussions investigating the barriers and facilitators of the children’s physical activity performance and participation. These discussions benefit from objectively-measured quantitative data resulting from a seven-day monitoring of the children’s free-living conditions and the quantification of their personal, familial and socio-environmental factors of influence of their physical behaviours.
