Staff profile

I am a Brazilian environmental engineer who loves being in nature. I have been committed to the water resources field since 2011, and my master's degree is in water resources and environmental sanitation. During this period, I fell in love with studying the physical phenomena of nature, especially those that involve the interaction between water and soil. I was part of a research group on natural disasters in Brazil, where I developed some research related to landslides, floods, and dam failures.

Now I am a PhD researcher working on a research project about connectivity. This research is part of the i-CONN project, which is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) project, involving 15 PhD researchers. In particular, my study considers connectivity issues in relation to sediment transport in fluvial systems, with a special focus on networks containing bedrock-alluvial channels.

My career plan is to become a great scientist and professor. I think I have a good facility to learn and adapt to different situations. In addition to my academic interests, I have hobbies related to aerial silks acrobatics, theatre, and travel. Friends consider me friendly, trustworthy, and even-tempered.
