Biography
I am a first-year PhD student in the Department of Sociology. During 2019-2020, I completed my Master’s degree in Communication for Development at the University of Reading. I then completed the Master of Social Science Research Method at Cardiff University.
Field of Study
I am curious about the publicness that emerged from Chinese Square Dancing. By adopting ethnography, I hope to investigate how people interact with and within public space, how conflicts are generated and resolved in public space. In the meantime, I am also concerned about the transformation of Chinese women's public and political images.
