Biography
Shuxin Zhang graduated from the Law Department of University of Science and Technology Beijing with a bachelor's degree. During the undergraduate period, she passed the legal professional qualification in China, and has interned in Chinese courts and law firms. She graduated from University College London, faculty of Law with a master's degree in International Human Rights Law, International courts and tribunals. During master's degree, she participated in the Law Teacher Program in University College London. In this program, she joined the privacy media law (LLB) course as an assistant. She is also a part-time tutor in Law School and research assistant at CAS.
Shuxin is currently a PhD candidate at Durham University, supervised by Prof. Helen Fenwick and Dr. Dimitrios Kagiaros.
Current Research
Shuxin’s current research examines models for the legal protection of personal information online. Aiming to understand the legal protection of personal information in UK and EU, this study principally conducts a research methodology of case study and comparation of legal system in UK and China.
She is also interested in the field of entertainment legal policy in International Human Rights Law.
