Biography
Siqi Huang is a PhD Candidate in Law at Durham University. Prior to her PhD study, she graduated from the University of Leicester, faculty of Criminology with a master’s degree. She also earned a master’s degree in Law (LLM,2020) with merit from the University of Sheffield.
She also practiced as a qualified lawyer in China.
Current Research
Supervised by Dr Jonathan Mukwiri and Dr Chris Riley, her PhD research focuses on the dual-class share structure. Specifically, she is interested in exploring under what conditions, the inclusion of the dual-class share structure of a jurisdiction is a good choice. It will also assess the effectiveness of regulations or related protection mechanisms in addressing the deficiencies inherent in the dual-class share structure.
