Biography
Yi Feng is a doctoral student in the school of Education, Durham University. She is supervised by Professor Nadia Siddiqui and Professor Stephen Gorard.
Her recent research focuses on evaluating the role of English in Chinese students' aspiration and education outcomes. The topic focuses on exploring whether Is English a “Noisy Guest”? Assessing the role of English in Shaping Students’ Post-compulsory Educational Pathways in China.
Ahead of this, Yi Feng was pursuing a Master degree in Linguistics and Tesol at Newcastle University, from which she graduated with merit. Her dissertation was focusing on teacher classroom interaction in the context of China.
